There are many forms of psychological therapy but Hypnotherapy is distinctive in that it attempts to address the client’s subconscious mind. The Hypnotherapist may utilise a wide range of techniques, from story telling, utilising the client’s own imagination, to metaphor or symbolism as well as direct suggestions for beneficial changes. Analytical techniques may also be employed in an attempt to uncover problems deemed to lie in a client’s past, or therapy may concentrate more on a client’s current life and presenting symptoms.

Trance (or altered state of awareness) is a naturally occurring state we go in and out of throughout the day. For example whilst driving a familiar route, you suddenly realise you are driving down your street and it’s as if you arrived there on ‘automatic’. You don’t remember consciously doing it.
You are always in control.
You will not do anything you don’t wish to. This is not stage hypnosis.
You will not reveal anything private you don’t wish to.
You will not be ‘manipulated’.
You can terminate a session any time you choose just by opening your eyes.

Just when you think it’s not going to work… (Jul 2015)-Spring is that time of year when people look at their bodies and think it's time to reduce some weight now!
